TWU Men's Hockey Home Opener

Join us in cheering on the TWU Spartan Men’s Hockey team in their home opening game this Friday at 7:15pm at the George Preston Arena.

We will be seated on the right-hand side of the arena facing the bench and would be thrilled to

have you join our cheering section. Feel free to bring signs and noisemakers, wear your

Rangers shirts (shirts cost $25 and I will bring some to the game if you would like to purchase

one), and come ready to encourage the team!

Important accessibility information:

Typically, our events run on a partner-based program where a few young adults are partnered

with a volunteer to foster close friendship and mentorship. It is important to note that this

event is an exception to that system, as we will not be creating groups or partnerships for this

event. If you or the person in your care required 1:1 support or close care, please accompany

them to this game or email me separately to inquire about arranging a partner. Many of our

volunteers for our typical events are members of the men’s hockey team, so we are running

short handed and will need the additional support of parents, guardians, and friends.

Further, keep in mind that hockey games are loud environments! Those with sensory disorders

or sensitivities to sound should be mindful of this and prepare accordingly.
